Sacraments of Initiation for Young People in High School (Years 7-12)

The three Sacraments of Initiation that bring people into the fullness of participation in the Catholic Church are 

Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Baptism is the first Sacrament of Initiation, the entry into the Church, and the gateway to all the other Sacraments.

Confirmation and Eucharist complete the Initiation.

We welcome enquiries from young people who:

 - Would like to be baptised into the Catholic Church

- Are baptised, but would like to receive the Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation

- Are baptised in a different Christian tradition, but would like to join the Catholic Church 

Key dates for 2025 are:

Interview: February - March 2025

10 x sessions: Friday afternoons  4, 11 April, 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 May, 6, 13, 20 June 2025

Celebration of Sacraments: July 2025

The preparation sessions are an opportunity to come together in a small group to learn more about our faith. Candidates share their questions, insights and faith story in a welcoming setting.
